What really makes the film shine are side-splittingly funny performances from the cast. No more praise for this from the Rebel Wilson (Fat Amy), Husky girl with a powerful voice, who freely voice their opinions.
There is also much to be said about choosing and using the music chosen for the film. With hits ranging from the 80's to today, there is something here for everyone to jive with. It should also be appreciated is the lack of unnecessary spectacle common in most musicals.
I began to review movies just because I'm tired of being told what I wanted. I do not believe in following anyone's opinion hana daetoo but my own, so you know you do not read reviews of Sheep Hollywood. Not every movie is trying to win an Oscar. Some just want to laugh at us, or give us an adrenaline rush. I love any movie that speaks to me and makes ga goals. Currently, I am a film critic for moviecheeks.ca, York Region Media Group and at the end of the world. Let's talk film! View all posts by David Budo
